Twisted Summer Camp
Leather-Levi Weekend will be held from Thursday, August 19 through Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the Northern California Retreat Center in Saratoga Springs, CA. LLW offers attendees the opportunity to learn more about themselves, their sexuality and the San Francisco Leather-Levi community in a relaxed setting.
Camping, swimming in the pool, enjoying the hot tub in the evening, hiking, motorcycle rides in the area, country & western dancing, whatever you can think of as long as it’s safe, sane and consensual. There are workshops if you’re interested as well as play spaces.
There are a limited number of bunks available in the main lodge as well as private rooms in the cabins. 8 meals and an open bar are included.

What is Leather Levi Weekend?
Leather Levi Weekend is a four-day event held in Northern California at the Northern California Retreat Center also known as Saratoga Springs Resort. It is on the north side of Lake Mendocino off of Hwy 20 near Ukiah, CA.
What is a “run”?
A “run” is a name used by motorcycle clubs for these types of events. They would “run” to the camp site on their cycles, often as a group, and then spend the weekend together socializing, eating, drinking and entertaining each other.
Do I have to wear leather?
No. Leather is a term to refer to those who are part of the “leather community”. Leather is the skin that we wear, not the clothing. It is part of our identity as a community of people who support each other. LLW is an opportunity to learn more about what this means, if you desire, with no obligation to join anything. There will be clubs at LLW and a cocktail hour on Saturday evening where each club can talk about who they are.
Do I have to be “into” leather?
No. Many people who come to LLW are there because it’s a great place to get away for the weekend and hang out with their friends who may or may not be part of the leather community. The only thing that we ask is that you be respectful toward all attendees at the event, follow the camp rules, have a good time, and NO DRAMA!
Do I have to have a motorcycle?
No. While the format of LLW is based on the traditional biker run, most people don’t have motorcycles.
I ride a motorcycle. What about my stuff?
If you ride a motorcycle, we set up a drop off site for you to leave your belongings. We will bring it up and back for you. For drop off location information, contact the event co-chair.

Why is it called “Twisted Summer Camp”?
We like to think of this as summer camp for those of us who like to play with ropes, knots, sleep in tents, and enjoy being outdoors. It’s twisted because we also enjoy being in a space that’s clothing-optional and where we can be free to have all sorts of fun, regardless of sex, gender, race, or sexual orientation. back to top
